Mandya Zilla Panchayat Chief Executive Officer K.R. Nandini continued her surprise inspection of schools which fared poorly in the SSLC examinations last year by visiting the government school in Bindiganavile village at Nagamangala taluk of Mandya district on December 15.
During the CEO’s visit, students informed her that they were not being taught science properly. Ms. Nandini then warned the teacher concerned and instructed that the subject had to be taught well.
She also directed the Block Education Officer (BEO) to visit the school again after 15 days and take stock of the teaching process. She also sought a report from the BEO on the progress made in teaching science post her visit.
